Regina "Joanne" Cannon Graham

Regina “Joanne” Cannon Graham, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 6, 2025, in Sparks, Nevada.

Born May 12, 1942, in Lovelock, Nevada, Joanne was raised in both Denio and Lovelock, Nevada, and graduated from Pershing County High School in 1960. On August 28, 1960, she married her beloved husband, Roy Graham, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and community. Joanne helped operate the family trucking business while raising her children, always putting her family first.

Joanne later served in Pershing County for many years, beginning as a dispatcher with the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office in 1985 and retiring in 2008 as the sheriff's secretary. Even then, her strong work ethic led her to work several more years as a security guard at the Coeur Rochester Mine before permanently retiring in 2014

A devoted member of the Fallon Emblem Club #377, Joanne proudly served as President of the club for a couple of years and founded the “Hats Off to Literacy” Soup and Salad Dinner in Lovelock. Through her love of crocheting and generous spirit, she crocheted numerous hats that were auctioned at the event, helping raise funds for the local Literacy Program for many years—an accomplishment she held close to her heart.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Leona Cannon; stepfather, Vernon Cannon; siblings, Lena Yvonne Cannon and Vernon Cannon Jr.; her husband, Roy Graham; and her son, Wayne Graham.

She is survived by her children, Frank (Frankie) Graham, Bob (Connie) Graham, and Vonni (Kevin) Hemp; grandchildren Ashley Hemp, Tryna (Lucas) Alexander, Shelby Graham, Alexandria Graham, Michael (Earon) Maneotis, and Tyler Maneotis; great-grandchildren Blake Roy and Emilia Jo Alexander, Kamren Beasley-Prince, and Rhyan and Keane Maneotis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joanne will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held on May 9, 2026.
