with the debut of its new 3D printer, which is now available for public demonstrations twice a month.
On the first Wednesday and Saturday of each month, patrons can visit the library to watch the machine in action, learn about its components, and see how objects are built layer by layer.
Library staff encourage members of the public to join 3D printing classes, where they can learn how to operate the 3D printer. The hands-on sessions are designed to give the community a closer look at how 3D printing works, from its sounds and movements to the step-by-step formation of a finished product.
Funding for the project was provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives, and Public Records.
The library encourages visitors of all ages to stop by and experience the new technology.
