The Pershing County varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Sierra Lutheran 59-34 on Saturday, Jan. 17, marking their ninth win this season by 20 points or more. The win continued a long streak for the Pershing County Mustangs, who have won seven of their last nine games and improved to 15-7 in the season. Sierra Lutheran dropped to 6-10 with the loss, its second straight defeat.
Pershing County will return to the court Monday night to face the Battle Mountain Longhorns at 7:30 p.m.
