Frontier Days scholarship announced for Pershing County seniors

Local students planning their next step after high school have a new scholarship opportunity to consider.

The Lovelock Frontier Days Scholarship will award a total of $1,000, split between two graduating seniors, to support continued education after high school. The scholarship is funded through the Frontier Days Raffle in partnership with the Pershing County Recreation Board.

The scholarship is open to current or recent graduates of Pershing County High School who plan to attend college, trade school, or a certification program. Applicants must also demonstrate community involvement and a commitment to building a positive future.

Applications must be completed and submitted by May 1, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be announced during Lovelock Frontier Days 2026, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, and winners are asked to be present if selected.
