Nevada’s Oldest Artifact: Tule Duck Decoys from Lovelock Cave

Residents of Pershing County will continue to have access to rotating public health services in January through a regional clinic schedule coordinated by the Central Nevada Health District, which serves multiple rural communities across north-central Nevada.

According to the January 2025 clinic calendar, Lovelock is among several locations hosting regular clinic days, alongside Fallon, Hawthorne, Eureka and Crescent Valley.

Services offered throughout the month include immunizations, general clinic services and family planning appointments. Immunizations listed on the schedule include childhood and school-required vaccines, as well as flu and COVID-19 vaccinations for uninsured individuals, Medicaid recipients, Medicare Part A beneficiaries and eligible American Indian/Alaska Native patients. Clinic services also include testing and treatment for certain conditions, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment, and hemoglobin testing. Family planning services are provided on a sliding-fee scale, with some insurance accepted.

In Pershing County, clinics are scheduled in Lovelock on multiple dates in January, providing residents the opportunity to access care locally without traveling to larger population centers. A senior clinic is also scheduled at the Pershing Senior Center, continuing outreach to older residents who may face transportation or mobility challenges.

Health district officials note that the rotating clinic model allows smaller communities to receive consistent care while sharing limited rural health resources across county lines.

Complete clinic dates, times and service availability are published monthly by the Central Nevada Health District. Residents are encouraged to confirm services in advance, particularly for immunizations or clinics with limited availability.

For additional information or to schedule an appointment, residents may contact the Central Nevada Health District offices serving their area. In Pershing County, call 775-699-2264. The clinic is located at 535 Western Ave. in Lovelock.
