The Pershing Healthcare Foundation is encouraging community members to double the impact of their year-end giving through a limited-time donation match that runs through Dec. 31.
Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, all contributions to the foundation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. The foundation’s first goal is to raise $1,000, which would immediately translate into $2,000 for local healthcare initiatives.
Foundation leaders said the match offers residents an opportunity to directly support healthcare close to home, with every dollar staying in Pershing County.
The mission of the Pershing Healthcare Foundation is to strengthen local care by funding healthcare scholarships for Pershing County residents who commit to returning to practice locally, supporting growth and equipment needs at Pershing General Hospital and its nursing home, and sponsoring community health projects that ensure continued access to essential services.
Unlike larger national foundations with global reach, PHF concentrates exclusively on local needs, investing in people, facilities, and programs that serve Pershing County residents directly.
“All gifts during this campaign have twice the impact,” Brandon Chadock, foundation representative, said, noting that donations of any size help move the community closer to unlocking the full $10,000 match.
Donations are tax-deductible and must be received by Dec. 31 to qualify for the match. Contributions can be made by check payable to the Pershing Healthcare Foundation or delivered to Pershing General Hospital. Additional information is available by contacting the foundation at 775-997-9209.
As the year comes to a close, organizers said the campaign is a simple way for residents to invest in the long-term health of their community, with every gift going twice as far.
