The City of Lovelock is reminding residents that its annual Angel Tree is still up at City Hall, and many local children are still waiting for a sponsor to help make their Christmas a little brighter.
City staff say there are “plenty of little angels” whose tags remain on the tree, each representing a child in the community with a simple holiday wish. Residents are invited to stop by City Hall during business hours, choose an angel, and return wrapped gifts before the deadline.
For those who prefer to give in another way, monetary donations are also accepted. Contributions can be made at Nevada State Bank by letting the teller know the donation is for the Angel Tree Fund. Funds go directly toward filling remaining tags and ensuring no child is left out.
The Angel Tree program has become a beloved tradition in Lovelock, relying on the generosity of neighbors helping neighbors. Organizers said they are grateful for the strong community support already shown and hopeful more residents will step forward in the coming days.
“Thank you, Lovelock, for helping spread joy this holiday season,” city staff said in the update.
