The Lovelock Animal Shelter is featuring a bonded pair this week: Moose, a dark, handsome fellow with a steady gaze, and Elk, a tan, soft-natured companion who rarely leaves his side. The two were found abandoned in Grass Valley, but shelter staff quickly learned they share a strong bond and must be adopted together.
Both dogs are on the shy side and would do best in a calm, patient home. They get along well with their kennel neighbors and are curious with visitors, warming up at their own pace.
