PCSO Welcomes New POST-Certified Deputy

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Deputy Kevin Grasmick has successfully graduated from the Nevada POST Academy, completing 18 weeks of intensive state law-enforcement training. Grasmick graduated on November 20, 2025, in Carson City.

Deputy Grasmick joined PCSO in 2022 and has served in the Jail Division for the past several years. With his POST certification now complete, he will begin Field Training with patrol deputies upon returning to the county.

Sheriff Jerry Allen praised the accomplishment, noting the rigor of Nevada’s POST program and the commitment required to complete it. “Congratulations to Deputy Grasmick, and stay safe out there,” Allen said in a public announcement.

The Pershing County Law Enforcement Association also recognized Grasmick’s achievement, saying he demonstrated “outstanding dedication, unwavering professionalism, and a true commitment to excellence” throughout his academy training. The association said it looks forward to officially welcoming him to the Patrol Division.

“Deputy Grasmick, thank you for answering the call to serve and protect our community,” the association said. “We are excited for the positive impact you will make here in Pershing County.”

Deputy Grasmick’s advancement comes as PCSO continues building and strengthening its patrol staffing, with the department emphasizing professional training and long-term community service.
