Thousands of spectators lined Carson Street in Carson City on Saturday, Nov. 1, for the annual
Nevada Day Parade—the largest parade in the state—celebrating Nevada’s admission to the
Union in 1864.
Leading the parade were mounted patrol units from across Northern Nevada, representing the
Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Elko County, Pershing County, Reno Police Department, and
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Twenty-five riders in all took part in the opening procession before joining public safety patrols
and community outreach efforts along the parade route.
