Lovelock’s four-legged residents have a new reason to wag their tails. Pampered Pooch has
welcomed Mandy Hagen, a certified professional groomer with more than seven years of
experience, to its team.
Hagen is a graduate of a hands-on grooming academy and holds an Advanced Professional
Groomer certification from the International Professional Groomers Association. She’s also
certified in canine and feline first aid and CPR and holds a safety certification from the American
Kennel Club.
“I really love what I do,” Hagen said. “Every pet is different, and I enjoy taking the time to make
grooming a calm, positive experience—especially for puppies, seniors, or pets that need a little
extra TLC.”
Her skills cover everything from breed-specific cuts and hand-stripping to creative grooming that
features coat carving or pet-safe color designs. “The dyes I use are completely safe—even
edible,” she said with a laugh.
Hagen said her favorite part of the job is building trust with her clients, both human and canine.
“It’s rewarding when a nervous dog learns that grooming can actually be relaxing,” she said.
