Scholarships and Community Spirit - Pershing Healthcare Foundation Hosts 9th Annual Fundraiser Dinner

Scholarships and Community Spirit - Pershing Healthcare Foundation Hosts 9th Annual Fundraiser Dinner

Get ready, Lovelock, one of the most exciting nights of the year is back. The 9th Annual
Pershing Healthcare Foundation Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner will take place on Saturday,
August 9 at the Pershing County Community Center, and this year’s event promises a heaping
plate of hometown pride alongside a Basque-style feast.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner is served at 6:00 p.m., and tickets are \$55 per person. All
proceeds go directly to scholarships for Pershing County residents pursuing careers in healthcare.

“The dinner is more than just a fun night out,” Brandon Chadock, chief executive officer of the
Pershing County General Hospital said. “It’s about building a healthier future for our
community by investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals.”

The evening includes a hearty meal, a vibrant live auction, and the kind of small-town
camaraderie that makes Lovelock special. Among the auction items up for bid this year:

∙ Gift cards to the Peppermill Resort Hotel in Reno
∙ Specialty baskets like Ruffles and Rednecks, Temptations, and Nanny Joe’s
∙ A “Stress Reliever” massage gift set
∙ A floral basket from Wizard’s Flower Shop
∙ Local gift certificates galore
∙ And even a pair of Burning Man tickets (quietly, of course)

Tickets and questions can be directed to Bobbette at 775-273-2621 ext. 1002.

Founded to strengthen the future of rural healthcare in Pershing County, the Pershing Healthcare
Foundation provides scholarship assistance to local residents pursuing education in healthcare
fields — especially those who plan to return and serve their community.

Past recipients have become nurses, technicians, and health workers who now serve right here at
home. A follow-up story after the event will highlight one of these local scholarship recipients
and share their journey from student to professional.

In addition to supporting students, the Foundation also helps promote growth and improvement
at Pershing General Hospital and Nursing Home, sponsors healthcare projects and community
wellness efforts, and works to ensure accessible care for both residents and visitors to Pershing
County.

The Foundation is guided by a dedicated board of local leaders and community members:

∙ Cindy Plummer
∙ Kirsten Hertz
∙ Dana Tueller
∙ Charles Safford
∙ Sondra Sayles
∙ Brandon Chadock
∙ Teresa Corbi
∙ Jeff Meyers

Members also include representatives from the Hospital Board of Trustees, Hospital
Administration, the City of Lovelock, County Commission, and School District, as well as two
community members at-large.

Whether you’re bidding on a basket, catching up with neighbors, or simply showing your
support, attending the fundraiser is a tangible way to make a difference. The Foundation’s goal is
not just to fund education, but to create a lasting pipeline of compassionate, qualified healthcare
providers rooted in Pershing County.

“We’re proud of what this dinner makes possible,” Chadock said. “Every ticket sold helps us
build a stronger, healthier future for our entire community.”

Mark your calendar, grab a ticket, and come hungry. This is more than just dinner it’s an
investment in the heart and health of Pershing County.
