The Lovelock Paiute Tribe held its election for Tribal Council on June 28, with unofficial results showing a tie for the top vote winners. The Tribal Council is comprised of five members, three of which must reside on the Lovelock Indian Colony. Council members are elected every two years in June, and on staggered four-year terms.
The council will vote to finalize the election results on July 9 and will determine council positions based on the final vote.
