Nevada State Parks is calling all curious and adventurous kids! Children ages 9 to 12 are invited to take part in the Junior Ranger Day Camp at Dayton State Park, running from Tuesday, July 15 through Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.
This three-day outdoor experience is designed to connect kids with Nevada’s rich natural landscapes and cultural heritage. Campers will participate in hands-on activities, crafts, games, and outdoor exploration while learning about local wildlife, ecology, and park stewardship.
The program includes daily snacks and all necessary materials. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required by July 11. To register, parents and guardians should contact Kristin Sanderson at [email protected].
The $15 registration fee covers park entrance for all three days ($5 per vehicle, per day) and is due on the first day of camp. The camp will be held at Dayton State Park, located at 825 U.S. Highway 50 East in Dayton, Nevada.
Part of the larger Nevada State Parks Junior Ranger Program, this camp encourages kids to explore, learn, and develop a deeper appreciation for the state’s outdoor spaces. Additional program information is available at parks.nv.gov/learn.
With support from the Nevada Division of State Parks, which oversees 27 parks and historic sites statewide, the Junior Ranger initiative continues to inspire Nevada’s youngest nature lovers — one adventure at a time.
