The Churchill County Sheriff’s Deputies Association brought the heat—and a whole lot of rubber balls—to the Venturacci Community Gym in Fallon for the inaugural First Responders Dodgeball Tournament. The event, held to raise funds for a December first responders food drive, brought together teams from multiple agencies (and one brave elementary school) in a spirited battle for dodgeball glory.
After a day of friendly but fierce competition, the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office claimed first place, followed by Pershing County Sheriff’s Office in second. Banner Churchill EMS took third, and bringing up the rear—but with plenty of heart—was Numa Elementary.
All proceeds from the event will go toward helping local families in need this holiday season. Dodgeball never felt so meaningful—or so fun.
