The Nevada Health Centers’ Mammovan will be making a stop in Lovelock to offer life-saving breast cancer screenings on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 7:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. The mobile mammography unit will be stationed at Pershing General Hospital, 855 6th Street.
Early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer, and the Mammovan provides convenient access to state-of-the-art 3D mammography, especially for rural Nevada residents.
Women over the age of 40 do not need a referral, but those aged 39 and younger—or men—must have a physician’s referral. Screenings are available to those who haven’t had a mammogram in the past 366 days.
Patients are asked to bring a photo ID, insurance card (if applicable), the Mammography Patient Registration form (available at nvhealthcenters.org/mammography), and their physician’s contact information.
Most major insurances are accepted, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Women’s Health Connection. For those not covered by insurance, a “no charge” screening may be available.
Appointments can be made by calling 877-581-6266, Option 1, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
