On Friday, April 11, Pershing General Hospital donated a Zoll Powerheart G5 AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and three first aid kits to the Marzen House Historical Museum. The donation will support the museum’s expanding campus and ensure faster emergency response during public events and daily operations.

The new AED is the same model that will be carried on local ambulances, meaning the pads are interchangeable—saving time and improving outcomes in emergency situations. AEDs are used to restore normal heart function in cases of sudden cardiac arrest by delivering a controlled electric shock.

“With more structures and exhibits being added to the museum grounds, this donation couldn’t come at a better time,” said Brandon Chadock, CEO and administrator at Pershing General Hospital.

Pershing General Hospital staff presented the donation in front of one of the museum’s historical displays, highlighting the partnership between health and heritage in Pershing County.
