Governor Lombardo Kicks Off Re-election Campaign with Rural Tour
Governor Joe Lombardo launched his 2026 re-election campaign with a tour of rural Nevada last week, making stops in Fallon, Lovelock, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain, and Elko. Joined by Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald and State Comptroller Andy Matthews, Lombardo spoke about the importance of rural voices, voter engagement, and economic diversification. Highlighting achievements from his first term, Lombardo noted $5 billion in new investments, improvements in education rankings, and ongoing support for local policing and public safety. He emphasized the need for voter participation and said he remains committed to representing all corners of Nevada, not just urban centers. The governor’s rural campaign tour will continue through October with additional stops planned in northeastern and central Nevada communities.
