PCMS students add color during community clean-up

PCMS students add color during community clean-up

A little extra Pershing County Middle School pride is showing up around town following last weekend’s Community Clean-Up Day.

As part of the community beautification effort, middle school students painted decorative rocks, adding their own creativity and personality to the project. On clean-up day, eighth-grade students placed the rocks throughout the community, leaving small, colorful surprises for residents to discover.

The project gave students a chance to take part in improving their town while also expressing themselves in a simple but meaningful way. Organizers said efforts like these help build a sense of pride, ownership and connection among students and the broader community.

Residents may notice the painted rocks in parks, along sidewalks and in other public spaces around Lovelock.

Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out and share where they spot them, turning a small act into a shared experience across town.
