Girl Scout Troop 242 Delivers Sweet Thanks to Local Law Enforcement

Girl Scout Troop 242 Delivers Sweet Thanks to Local Law Enforcement

A group of young Girl Scouts brought smiles—and cookies—to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office this week as Troop 242 stopped by the Lovelock Law Enforcement Center to thank local deputies and staff.

Dressed in their vests and carrying boxes of Girl Scouts of the USA cookies, the girls made a special delivery to show appreciation for the men and women who serve the community each day. The visit included a warm welcome from Sgt. Thornhill and members of the sheriff’s office, who took time to visit with the troop and thank them for the thoughtful gesture.

The simple act of kindness made an impact, offering a moment of connection between local youth and law enforcement.

For Troop 242, it was a chance to give back. For the sheriff’s office, it was a reminder that their work is noticed and appreciated.

Moments like these highlight the strong sense of community in Pershing County—where even a box of cookies can go a long way.
