NOTICE OF CITY ELECTION
AND
FILING OF DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FOR CITY ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the General City Election of the City of Lovelock, Nevada will be in conjunction with the Pershing County General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the following are the offices for which candidates are to be elected:
Council member Seat B – Four Year Term
Council member Seat C – Four Year Term
A Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Lovelock, at 400 14th Street, Lovelock, Nevada on or after 8:00 a.m. March 2, 2026 and before the close of filing for office at 5:00 p.m. March 13, 2026.
The City Clerk shall charge and collect from the candidate at the time of filing the Declaration of Candidacy a filing fee in the amount of $40.00 (cash only).
The Council member candidates must be qualified electors within the City of Lovelock and bona fide residents thereof for at least one year next preceding their election, and must have actually, as opposed to constructively, resided within the City of Lovelock for at least 30 days prior to the close of filing of declarations of candidacy. All candidates will run at large and be elected by registered voters of the City of Lovelock.
