On Friday, Jan. 30, the Pershing County Mustangs earned their 13th consecutive victory with a 47–24 win over the North Tahoe Lakers. The game also marked Senior Night, as six seniors played their final home game for the Mustangs.
Pershing County has now won nine games by 20 points or more this season. Riley Harvey led the Mustangs with 23 points and eight steals, while Kyra Cerinin added 13 points and three steals.
The win improved the Mustangs’ record to 21–5 and secured the No. 1 seed heading into the zone playoffs for the first time in 12 years. Pershing County has one regular season game remaining against West Wendover before playoffs begin.
