Pershing County Library Launches Colorful Summer Reading Program

The Pershing County Library is inviting local kids to get creative this summer with its 2025 Summer Reading Program, Color Our World. Designed for 2nd–5th graders, this art-themed program will run weekly from June 16 through July 21, offering a splash of color, learning, and fun.

Each Monday from 1–2 p.m., participants will dive into hour-long sessions that explore different artistic talents—encouraging self-expression and a love of both reading and creating. The program will be held at the Pershing County Library, located at 1125 Central Ave. in Lovelock.

Spots are limited to 20 children per session, and registration opens May 5. Families can sign up by calling 775-273-2216, stopping by the library in person, or sending a message on social media.

This year’s program is made possible thanks to support from the Friends of the Pershing County Library and a federal LSTA grant from IMLS and NSLAPR.

Don’t miss out—this colorful summer adventure promises to be a highlight of the season!
